We appreciate here at Berkeley Square Medical that plastic surgery is an expensive luxury, and while some procedures are less expensive than others, none are cheap. There are many plastic surgery costs associated with surgery that patients are aware of, but there are additional fees that are not so obvious that all patients must be aware of. Thank fully at Berkeley Square Medical all the points below are included fully in the true cost of your surgery.
Berkeley Square Medical surgery prices are inclusive of all aspects of your procedure covering our patients with a premium service with no additional costs.
1) Our Plastic Surgeon
Of course this is a no brainer and the cost of your surgery more often then not will depend on the expertise and experience of your Surgeon.
2) Our Nursing Staff in Theatre During Surgery
In addition to the Plastic Surgeon participating in the surgery, there are at least two additional staff members in the operating room during the procedure. A circulating nurse is present, charting everything that happens during the procedure and doing the things that the “scrubbed in” staff cannot. Then theres your nursing staff who are responsible for handing the surgeon the sterile instruments used during the procedure.
3) The Operating Room
Your operating room will be in an accredited private hospital both fit for purpose and registered and regulated under the Care Quality Commission. This means the room contains all equipment and surgical equipment needed if any situation arises during surgery.
4) Surgical Implants
If your surgery requires an implant, such as breast implants. The price of implants varies widely, but the fact that they have to be sterile, made to perform for a lifetime and require extensive research and testing usually makes them quite costly.
5) Medications
The medications used during surgery are included during surgery. The medications given range from IV fluids and anesthesia medications to any special drugs that are necessary during the procedure, such as an antibiotic. All medication to take home after will be included in the cost of your surgery
Prices at Berkeley Square Medical are competitive, and reflect the facilities we provide our patients to have their surgery in and the excellent clinical expertise and experience of our Surgeons. Remember all prices quoted are free from any hidden costs.
6) Pre-Surgery Testing and Care
Your road to surgery will begin with a consultation with your surgeon, which will result in a fee. Any additional visits with your surgeon, both before and after surgery, are included in the cost of your surgery.
Your surgeon may request tests to make sure you are healthy enough to have surgery. These tests may range from blood tests and chest x-rays to stress tests, imaging test (Ultrasound scans) and any additional tests that the surgeon deems necessary. These will all be included with Berkeley Square Medical.
7) Hospital Care
You fee will automatically include the care by the nursing staff at the hospital, this will be round the clock attention whether you are a day case over overnight stay surgery.
8) Post Operative Care
As with all our surgeries, you will have a the lifetime contact details of our surgeons to directly call them. When monitoring your recovery all visits with you surgeon would have already been paid as apart of the cost or surgery.
